Status of  Submissions  

    The Status of Submissions screen allows an Agency to view the status of all of the monthly Submissions for the Agency in one location. The screen displays a range of submission periods along with the status of your submissions for each period. You can choose to work with an individual Submission on-line from this screen. 

    The Status of Submissions screen also allows an Agency to view the status of all of the yearly Employee Data submissions for the Agency. The screen displays the available years for submission of Employee Data. You can choose to work with an individual Employee Data yearly submission on-line from this screen.

The Status of Submissions screen can be reached by:

1) Logging in

2) Clicking on the Home Tab at anytime during the data entry process

3)  Clicking on the Status of Submissions link from the Submission Validated screen 

    The Status of Submissions screen has three major parts: the Status of Submissions table, the Employee Data table and the Status Definitions.

    The Status of Submissions table contains the status information for the Submission periods being processed. The Month of the Submission is listed down the left side of the table in order from January through December. Each Year that is available on the system is listed across the top of the table in descending order starting with the Current year.

    In order to find the Submission Status for a particular month within a specific year, locate the month in question on the left side of the form and proceed across the line to the column under the year for which you would like to review the status. Each Monthly Submission is represented by a link and a status definition. You can reach any of the individual Submissions for a Month/Year on-line by clicking on the link.  

    When you click on a Status of Submissions entry for a particular Month/Year, you are presented with one of three things based on the type of data you are submitting to the FBI.

    If you are a Summary UCR Submitter, and the submission is in any other status than due or no submission, you are presented with the with the Summary Submission Confirmation screen for that month. The Summary Submission Confirmation screen allows an Agency to view the status of the individual Returns for a monthly Submission and work with the Returns. The Summary Submission Confirmation screen also allows an Agency to Cancel a submission that is in "Recalled", "Incomplete" or "Errors" status.

    If you are a NIBRS UCR Submitter, and the submission is in any other status than due or no submission, and you are working with a month/year that is within the Time-Window you are presented with the Incident View screen that lists all of the incidents entered for the month/year selected.

    If you are a NIBRS UCR Submitter, and the submission is in any other status than due or no submission, and you are working with a month/year that is outside of the Time-Window you are presented with the Time-Window Incident Search screen that will allow you to search for your  Time-Window Incidents.

    The Employee Data table contains the status information for the Years being processed. Each Year that is available on the system is listed across the top of the table in descending order starting with the Current year. When you click on a Employee Data entry for a particular Year, you are presented with the Annual Report of Law Enforcement Employees screen for that year.

The Federal Deaths in Custody  Reporting Act of 2000 link will present you with the screen from Pennsylvaina Commission on Crime and Delinquency (PCCD).  This screen will assist you in determining if your agency experienced any qualifying deaths.  Checking "Yes" will result in a phone or email contact from the PCCD which will, based on the information you provide, complete and submit a form to the United States Department of Justice to report the death.

The Status Definitions are located at the bottom of the Status of Submissions screen.

    If you are a NIBRS UCR Submitter, an additional Tab, Time-Window, is available at the top of the screen that will allow you direct access to the Time-Window Incident screen.
